Class Overview:
In this captivating class, you will delve into the profound connection between your breath and movement, uncovering the power they hold to enhance your physical and mental well-being. DejaJoelle will guide you through a dynamic journey of self-discovery, helping you unlock the potential for growth and self-awareness through mindful breathwork and purposeful movement.
BLOOM
BLOOM is a celebration of six Black dance artists who have completed a one-year Body Prayers Artist Development Program. More than a dance concert, BLOOM is a manifestation of Black creativity, a space to learn and grow, as well as vibe and chill in the Twin Cities largest gathering of Black-owned creators and artisans. BLOOM will be held in the southwest corner of the Black Market, where over 50 vendors gather monthly in our very own Black Wall Street. Similar to a West African Taneber or drum party, the dance artists will showcase their work interwoven with participatory experiences and art-making activities. BLOOM on August 12 features Live DJS, crochet and rug tufting workshops, somatic experiences, Black vendors, Food trucks, dance performances, and community connections. Summer Intentional
Bloom Summer Intentional is a three day workshop series that consists of classes, sessions and events hosted by twin cities artists and activators. This is an intentional time to connect with Self, Body Prayers community, and the internal seeds you’ve been planting.

We will learn how to make the movements work for us and discuss how we can use them to conjure our afrofuture.
